Privacy policy

This policy explains what Aksharly (aksharly.com), operated by Ranith kumar Chinthakindi, collects and why.

What we collect

• Your email address, to sign you in and contact you about your account.
• Your credit balance, purchase history and a log of processed videos (length, date, status).
• Payment details are entered on Razorpay's checkout. We receive only order and payment IDs, never your card, UPI or bank details.

Your videos

Uploaded videos are processed on our server and deleted as soon as the captioned copy is returned to you. To create captions, the audio track is sent to our speech-recognition provider, Sarvam AI. We don't use your videos for advertising or to train models.

How we use your data

• To provide and improve the captioning service.
• To send login codes and account-related emails (no marketing email).
• To process payments and issue refunds through Razorpay.

Data sharing

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate Aksharly: Sarvam AI (speech recognition), Razorpay (payments), and Brevo (transactional email). We do not sell your data.

Data retention

Your account data (email, credits, order history) is kept for as long as your account is active. Uploaded videos are deleted immediately after processing. You may request deletion of your account by emailing us.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party tracking cookies are set by our application.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@aksharly.com.
